This incredible hike is not for the faint of heart! In June of 2022, I hiked the Mt. Whitney trail with one of my best friends and his son. The trail is 22 miles, round-trip, and has over 6,000 feet of vertical foot gain on the way up. We had an amazing time in Southern Utah for Thanksgiving this year. We ended up staying in Kanab, UT, which is a perfect hub for a vacation to that part of the country. We were about an hour and a half from Antelope Canyon, Bryce, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (which was snowed in, boo), and Zion. On November 13, 2019, students from the Colburn Conservatory traveled six blocks to Skid Row to participate in a Neighborhood Sing put on weekly by the Urban Voices Project. Hi Nathaniel, how long did it take you to hike it in one day?
Hey! It took me 14 hours!! My friends who were with me did it in just under 9. It was June so it was already light at 6am when we hit the trail. I was just coming off of COVID but was in pretty good shape, all things considered.
